New Playground Activities
As you have seen on
the KS2 playground, we now have our very own basketball court with a soft
surface. Gone is the dirty old useless grass. Horray!
The children will given the opportunity to play at some breaktimes and lunch times. Please stay off the surface with inappropriate footwear or dirty shoes.

Top Valley Sports
On Fridays of this
term the children will be visting Top Valley Academy in PE to use their
equipment and specialist sports leaders. This is a really exciting project
between the two schools and one which allows the children to participate in
different, fun sports like trampolining, dance mat training and basketball.
Please make sure that the children have the correct PE kit in school on
Fridays.
India and Hinduism
Our Spring Term theme
is all to do with India. In Geography they will be investigating the country
and making comparisons between Indian City/Village life with their own.
Other
areas will be Indian food, dance, celebrations, rivers, famous places, cities,
schools, work, animals and leisure. In art we will be creating Indian Rangoli
patterns and in RE we will be focussing on Hinduism.
Spring Homework Project
This term we have 2
homework projects for you to enjoy.
The children are
already working on their own newspapers. This includes them writing various
interesting articles of their choice and them also thinking carefully about an
exciting and attactive layout for the paper.
This project needs to be completed by handed in on the 11th
February.
As is tradition at
this time of the year, the children will also be asked to participate in the
whole school annual Easter Egg Competition. More information to follow.
